What kind of artist am I? I finished an MFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry
in 1980 (and ran a jewelry design business for 10 years) but got
side-tracked by holography in the early 80's. From there, more
involvement in drawing and painting and then computer graphics with an
Amiga 2000 in 1989. I now work on a G3 Mac.

I'm currently into digital printmaking (passionate about printmaking in
general!) I recently bought a 52" Roland HiFiJet with pigment (archival)
inks and made my first print. I spent the last 3 summers at a Life
Drawing/Painting workshop at the Art Institute of Southern Calif. I will
be there again this summer but this time I'm taking a lap top with a
Wacom tablet.

At school, I began the Digital Arts Lab program---helping to plan the
remodel of the old electronics classroom, ordering the hardware and
software and writing the curriculum. Every day, my students amaze and
inspire me with their creativity in digital art.

I also teach a digital art class for the local college in my lab at
night. I truly enjoy my adult students. One of them was a web designer
who helped me put up this limited little site with an image I created in
The Lab at the Siggraph convention in 1999...hopefully I will have some
time to add to it this summer.

Looking forward to a week of peace and quiet...ahhh..Spring Break.
