I am a photography teacher, grades 10-12. For the last two years the art department at my school, a public high school in Northern Virginia, has been collaborating with a museum in Washington, D.C. Next year we may also be collaborating with a public school in Washington, D.C. We are interested in using photography as a means for students at both schools to recognize and celebrate their similarities.
I am eager to hear suggestions from other photography teachers who have worked on similar collaborative projects, especially between urban and suburban high school students. Last year, another school in the county collaborated with a D.C. school for a project similar to "Shooting Back". We are interested in doing something a little different next year.
