Liz, a small propane torch would be sufficient. You can get one at the
hardware store. I have a friend who is a folk artist. she mingles with a
group of outsider artists. One of them does the most incredible sculptures
with plastic buckets. She has a boat with passenger in her back yard that he
did.
Get some fire brick to create a pad to work on. I imagine you would need some
tongs of some sort. They sell them for welding. It might be overkill. But I
think I would feel better sith some way to hold the pieces. Perhaps work at a
table outside. I would work with it at home until I got the hang of it. but
I'll bet you could have a blast with those bottles.
