Well...it might take a bit of digging...but I enjoy Van Gogh's story very
much and has other personal meaning for me. I will keep a good ear and eye
out, and see if I can come across that news report. I may have the exact
painting mixed up...but was pretty sure it may have been Dr Gachet,
but...this multi-millionaire Japanese individual dying and having the
painting to be destroyed in his will was what caught my attention most.
That they have not been able to find the painting since his death most
intriguing.
The figure he paid out for the painting when he bought it was in that
neighborhood of Dr Gachet. Right now...I'm reading "At Eternity's Gate" and
"Van Gogh and God".....pretty awesome books, tying in the best reports
available on nailing down his illness, from letters and doctors reports.
Amazing too the spiritual connection many of his paintings held for him. I
got them both at Borders Books, Music and Cafe. Anyone else by chance
reading these?
