Re:Adobe=Industry standard?

I have brought in 4 guest speakers this year who all said that Adobe is what
they use the most. Three of them were graphic designers who said they use
Adobe Illustrator most of the time and 1 designs backgrounds for interactive
games for Playstation. He uses Adobe PhotoShop most of the time. While
Adobe may not be the end-all to all graphic software, I would have to agree
with Bill too that it's basically the industry standard. I just haven't
found another program that has the potential for advanced image manipulation
other than PhotoShop.

I'm sorry. I disagree. Adobe is not industry standard in all areas. Most
professionals use Quark Express instead of Pagemaker, Dreamweaver instead of
GoLive and Flash instead of LiveMotion. I'm sure there are other examples,
but these I know of for a fact.
