Lowenfeld describes the haptic and visual artist when he talks about how kids
approach art. My studies include matching the haptics with preferences in
dance and drama, the visual to drawing/painting/sculpture. Gardner has
offered a list of learning styles that go into individual characteristics...
visual, auditory, kinesthetic and on and on. I would start with reading
Peter Smith's History of American Art Education. From there, other
interesting paths emerge. Peter
