This really has nothing to do with school.
It's a power play and this teacher is being extremely rude.
Type a formal letter , stating the problem, and the options as you see them.
(Rehersals are done after school for us.)
There are a few exceptions, when multiple grades practice together during the
day
around Christmas. But it's the exception to the rule, not the norm.
Send one to her/him and one to the Principle.
Tell them ..it's not going to happen again.Period.
