Generally speaking when the clay shrinks it will shrink and crack off the
support wire, But this is not true in all cases, if you are using a very
highly grogged clay you can use nichrome wire as a support into the clay.
For some designs this may be the only way to create the desired effect so
that the form holds up at higher fire temperatures.
