Enjoy seeing and making art at our Art Lab drop-in workshops

Knights in armor, jousts for honor, and lavish banquets...the illuminated manuscripts exhibition, Chivalry in the Middle Ages, highlights the romantic ideals of chivalry that permeated the lives of the elite members of medieval society.

Join artist Becca Lofchie on the Family Room Patio for a drop-in, hands-on workshop that explores the idea of "chivalry" in contemporary life. Inspired by the works in the exhibition Chivalry in the Middle Ages, create original manuscript pages illustrating rules and conventions that you consider to be chivalrous. Participants will also learn how to share their work in our online Chivalry Project.

How to Participate
Stop by the workshop table outside the Family Room in the Museum Courtyard any time between 11:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on days when Art Lab is offered. The program is geared for families with children ages 5 and up, but anyone can participate, and even adults without children will have a blast. Adult supervision is required.
