Component Five: Analysis of Historical Samples
Once the analytical strategy has been verified, historic samples from wall paintings at the Mogao Grottes will be taken and analyzed. The strategy will also be applicable to Asian dyestuffs used in textiles and Asian organic pigments used in paintings.
