Winter and Spring Lectures

The GCI announces its winter and spring 2004 schedule for "Conservation Matters: Lectures at the Getty"—a public series examining a broad range of conservation issues from around the world. Lectures are held monthly on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Harold M. Williams Auditorium at the Getty Center. Events are free. Reservations are required. To make a reservation or for further information, visit the Getty Web site. Reservations can also be made by calling 310 440-7300.

Carol Mancusi-Ungaro—director of conservation, Whitney Museum of Art, and founding director, Center for the Technical Study of Modern Art, Harvard University Art Museums—discusses the unusual problems and conservation treatment of the Rothko paintings.
