The Getty Conservation Institute is an operating program of the
J. Paul Getty Trust. Other programs of the Trust are the J. Paul
Getty Museum; the Getty Center for the History of Art and the Humanities;
the Getty Art History Information Program; the Getty Center for
Education in the Arts; the Museum Management Institute; the Getty
Grant Program; and the Program for Art on Film, a joint venture
with The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Conservation, The GCI Newsletter, is distributed free of
charge three times per year, in English and Spanish, to professionals
in conservation and related fields, and to members of the public
concerned about conservation. The GCI works to develop a broad constituency
for conservation and to promote an international appreciation of
the value of our cultural inheritance and our shared responsibility
for its preservation.
