Terra (1998–2005)
Under Project Terra, ICCROM, CRATerre-EAG, and the GCI collaborated with each other, as well as with other institutions, in four areas of activity. These major components of the project included:
Component One: Education
Component Two: Research
Component Three: Planning and Implementation
Component Four: Advocacy
Although there were distinct activities in each of these areas, collectively they contributed to the development of the conservation of earthen architecture as a science, a field of study, a professional practice, and a social endeavor. The specific activities were coordinated by one or more of the Terra partners, and were often undertaken in collaboration with associate partner organizations and/or consultants.
