Conservation of América Tropical
The GCI, in collaboration with project partner El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument, is working on two fronts to complete this project. The project components are:
- The design and construction of a protective structure to cover the mural and a viewing platform to make it accessible to visitors;
- The final conservation of the mural.
- In addition, the city of Los Angeles has assumed the responsibility for the interpretation of the mural for the public. This will be accomplished through an interpretive center in the Sepulveda House.
