Conservation of Mosaics in Situ
 

Component One: Research and Testing
The first component is a research and testing program that aims to increase understanding of the causes of deterioration of mosaics in situ, and to contribute to the development of methods and approaches for the maintenance, conservation, and presentation of mosaics, which are founded upon systematic research and testing.

Component Two: Training and Capacity Building for Technicians and Site Management Professionals
The second component includes training for technicians in the care and maintenance of in situ mosaics and capacity building for professionals in the conservation and management of sites with mosaics.

Component Three: Convening and Facilitating Professional Meetings
This part of the project has involved facilitating meetings and conferences, and strengthening the network of professionals in the field of in situ mosaic conservation.
