Component Two: Final Conservation of the Mural

After construction of the shelter and platform are complete, conservators will remove the current padding and the box, uncover the mural and undertake its final consolidation and cleaning. This work is expected to take approximately three months.

The GCI will continue to monitor the condition of the mural on a regular basis after the project is completed in order to determine if any further deterioration is occurring.
