The three primary components of the SARAP project are:

Component One
Education and training in rock art site management, including the development of plans for site management, conservation, condition reporting, and monitoring.

Component Two
Building local capacity in specialized guiding of tourists to rock art sites, including developing guide knowledge of the significance of the rock art and of sustainable approaches to taking visitors to sites, and providing participants with legal certification as rock art tourist guides in South Africa.

Component Three
Education and training in approaches for rock art interpretation and presentation.
