Cultural Revolution (Chinese history, 1966-1976)

Note: Massive political movement in China, set into action by Communist Party chairman Mao Zedong. as an attempt to revive the spirit of the Chinese revolution. The movement caused severe domestic instability on political and economic levels, it resulted in the growing personality cult of Mao, and ended with Mao's death in 1976.
