	Second Battle of Bull Run (American Civil War, 1862)

Note: Second battle at a small stream named Bull Run, near Manassas in northern Virginia; both the First and Second battles gave military advantage to the Confederacy. Second battle was of much larger scale and numbers than the First Battle of Bull Run fought on July 21, 1861 on the same ground. The strategic significance of the location lay in the fact that Manassas was an important railroad junction.
