Note: The Arimasp, a little one-eyed warrior, slashes at a griffin. The piece retains specks of brown and scarlet on the Arimasp's Persian costume and boots. His pelta was once brown and gilded, and a Gorgoneion (head of Medusa) surrounded by light scrollwork was drawn on it in thin black lines. | |
