Note: The portrait medallion of Queen Marie-Antoinette of France is set within an allegorical composition.The medallion inscribed "MAR. ANT. AUSTRIAe FR. REG.," and resting on a cloud, is supported by personifications of Goodness and Tenderness. Seated before Poetry and Painting, France presents to the queen her children.
