Note: The ephemeral monument was designed by Michelangelo de Blasio and ordered by Michael Friedrich Graf von Althann, who was viceroy of the Kingdom of Naples from 1722 to 1728; Francesco de Grado, a Flemish etcher, was active in Naples from 1691 to 1738; The print depicts the Cuccagna monument erected on November 4, 1724 in front of the royal palace in Naples, in celebration of the name-day of Emperor Charles VI; The ephemeral monument is designed as a tripartite triumphal arch, topped by the double-headed eagle of the Holy Roman empire and the insignia of Cardinal Althann. It is decorated with a personification of Abundance holding a cornucopia, festoons, fowls, bulls, and fountains; Forms part of the Collection of festival prints, 1530-1887 (Special Collections accn. no.
