Innocenzo XI (Rome, 1676); Draftsman and etcher from Valduggia, Novara, who was active in Rome; The print depicts the cavalcade accompanying Pope Innocent XI from the Vatican Basilica to the Basilica of Saint John Lateran in Rome on November 8, 1676; The ceremony marked the pope's taking possession of the cathedral of Rome, after his crowning at the Vatican. A portrait medallion of the pope is depicted in the upper center of the image.
