Note: From the series known as Antique statues in Rome. Engraver, painter and publisher from Haarlem, who travelled to Italy in 1590 and 1591. The print represents the statue of Hercules carrying his son Telephos (Telephus) (Vatican, Musei Chiaramonti, Inv. 1314), who is identified as Commodus Hercules; It documents the sculpture's state before it was restored in 1591; Publication: [Haarlem] : Herman Adolfz. excud.
