Note: The print shows a triumphal arch commissioned by Duke Francesco Farnese of Parma and Piacenza in honor of Pope Innocent XIII's taking possession of San Giovanni in Laterano on November 16, 1721. Designed by Pompeo Aldrovandini, the ephemeral arch was built near the Orti farnesiani in the Campo vaccino or Forum. Glued to disbound album leaf numbered and annotated in brown ink ("Alessandro Specchi / 105") and burned in upper right corner; The album leaf displays another print, also issued by Marcello Silvestri, titled Arco eretto dal Senato roman. per il possesso di n.ro sig. Innocentio XIII l'anno 1721: accn. no. P910002** (FF. 907); Forms part of the Collection of festival prints, 1530-1887 (Special Collections accn. no. P910002**).
