Note: Roman architect, urban designer and etcher, who collaborated with the printer Giovanni Giacomo de' Rossi and his heir and son Domenico de' Rossi; The print shows the elevation and ground-plan of a triumphal arch commissioned by Duke Ranuccio Farnese of Parma and Piacenza in honor of Pope Innocent XII's taking possession of the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano on April 13, 1692; Designed by Carlo Fontana, the ephemeral arch was erected in front of the Orti farnesiani in the Campo Vaccino or Forum in Rome; Forms part of the Collection of festival prints, 1530-1887 (Special Collections accn. no.
