Gio. Girolamo Orti, and sig. Gio. Battista da Persico; Binding: grey printed wrapper enclosed in modern marbled boards, half bound in cloth. Spine inscribed in white ink: Comerio Cavalcata Carlo V; Cover title; The steel engravings document Domenico Brusasorci's painted frieze in the great hall of the Ridolfi palace in Verona that commemorate the procession held in Bologna in February of 1530 following Charles V's coronation by Pope Clement VII. The prints reproduce Brusasorci's painting in neoclassical style, in outline, without shading; The Italian painter, sculptor, draftsman, and engraver Agostino Comerio was awarded in 1819 the title of honorary member of the Regia accademia di belle arti di Venezia for his preparatory drawings for engravings after Brusasorci's painting; Forms part of the Collection of festival prints, 1530-1887 (Special Collection accession no.
