Here in CT we've suddenly skipped right into summer, and many of the
students are either falling asleep from the 90 degree heat or acting
out because they'd rather be outside, or both. These conditions require
adjusting the normal terms of engagement.
I've been spicing things up with bad puns, wild antics, skipping,
kicking up my heels, and contrasting mysterious whispers with primal
screams - all in an effort to maintain their attention. I've found that
'ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!' seems to work well.
Going outside to draw is also a good plan, but presently we're racing
the art show deadline, and must forge ahead with current projects.

(Who is very glad his art room is in the basement, faces north,
and has huge double doors and big windows for great cross ventilation)
