Being a Photographer
John Szarkowski, director of the Department of Photography at the Museum of Modern Art in New York from 1962 to 1991, is also an accomplished photographer. He speaks about his life and work as a photographer—its difficulties, frustrations, confusions, and its inconstant and equivocal rewards.
