Senior Safety Officer, Insurance & Risk Management, J. Paul Getty Trust

Develops and implements safety and loss control/prevention programs to ensure a safe working environment and to minimize the organizations exposure to losses. Administers and may participate in development of Getty safety programs and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. The experienced professional we are seeking will have 10 plus years experience and will be technically accomplished and able to communicate, both orally and in writing, on a broad range of occupational and environmental health and safety issues, including Federal, California and other relevant rules and regulations, air and water quality, hazardous waste, comprehensive audits, industrial hygiene, safety, ergonomics, training and computer applications. CIH and/ or CSP desired but optional; however, it is required that the candidate be, at a minimum, seeking one of these certificates. MS is also preferred. Send resume to The J. Administrative Supervisor, Finance and Accounting, The J. Paul Getty Trust

Supervising a staff of five, the Administrative Supervisor coordinates and supervises the cash handling positions at the Getty Center and the Villa, ensuring timely cash deposits. Reviews schedules prepared by the cash handlers to record the cash deposits into PeopleSoft by the Accounting department. Coordinates with the Programs and the cash handlers to ensure cash coverage, i.e. ensuring the Bookstore and Visitor Services have enough change. Oversees the scanning of invoices and expense reports, communicating with the Accounts Payable department, Tax and Audit department and Programs. Will be involved in the implementation of the scanning of purchasing cards and various payroll documents. Coordinates the processing of Accounts Payable checks, employee reimbursement checks, and Payroll and Accounts Payable pospay communication with Bank of America. Will be involved in transitioning the processing of Payroll checks during the next fiscal year to the administrative group. Handles internal department mail and serves as back-up for mail pick-up and distribution for department. Updates finance forms for posting on the Getty intranet. Helps coordinating the year-end audit, including updating confirmation letters and gathering information needed by the auditors. Ensures that the various cash deposit, scanning and check printing and related functions are accurately completed each day. Requirements: Bachelors degree preferred, as well as 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience, 5+ years preferred. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to use Adobe Acrobat Professional, Image Now and PeopleSoft. Senior Contract Administrator, Procurement and Contract Services, The J. Paul Getty Trust

The J. Paul Getty Trust is seeking a Senior Contract Administrator to perform contract administration on complex procurement projects in support of operational requirements for the organization. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating contracts and amendments covering professional services, maintenance and license agreements, design, engineering, and construction. Candidate should have a demonstrated knowledge of procurement processes and methodologies with an ability to apply knowledge to senior-level responsibilities; effectively communicate with all levels of management; establish and consistently maintain positive and constructive relationships; mentor intermediate-level colleagues; possess strong organizational, planning and analytical skills. Candidate must also possess strong Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Bid (RFB) experience, including developing statements of work, establishing evaluation criteria, chairing bid/proposal evaluation team meetings, negotiating with vendors, and recommending awards to senior management. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of experience in senior-level contract administration work on complex projects and services. Familiarity with PeopleSoft ERP would be a plus. Manager, Capital Projects, Facilities Department, The J. Paul Getty Trust
Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Capital Projects manager is responsible for all capital project management functions associated with the design and construction of new, renovation and renewal projects at the Getty. The successful candidate must have demonstrated the ability to work within a large institution of sophisticated and diverse stakeholders to insure that goals, budgets, and schedules are met. Responsibilities include management of owners consultants, architects, engineers, and construction management firms, including project risk assessments and mitigation plans, oversight of design and construction documentation, bidding processes, budget/cost and schedule controls. Responsibilities also include space management and maintenance of the project record archives. Responsible for simultaneous management of multiple complex projects including building systems replacement, exhibition renovations, laboratory changes, warehousing, residential work and special projects. Interprets and implements Getty Trust plans, policies and procedures. Oversees campus architecture. Qualifications: Professional degree in architecture or engineering required. Masters degree preferred. Certification or licensing as an architect or professional engineer is required. Minimum of 10 years experience in the design and construction industry preferred, with 5 or more years of experience in an institutional or public setting. Experience in renovation and new construction of higher education facilities and high-rise standards is very desirable. Must be highly skilled in written and verbal communication and able to work well with clients at all levels. Working knowledge of relevant computer tools. To apply send resume and cover letter to J.
