Who is Eligible to Participate?
This Employee Referral Reward Program is open to all regular and limited-term, full-time and part-time employees. Temporary and Human Resources staff are not eligible to participate. Supervisory management staff are not eligible when hiring into their department.
What Positions are Included in this Program?
Human Resources will designate positions eligible for this program. Positions designated as reward-eligible will be identified by the presence of letters "ERRP" immediately following the title of the posting on the Getty Employment Opportunities Web site.
What is the Referral Reward?
The reward amount varies based on the grade level of the position. The gross reward amounts are:
- $2,000 for Manager or above positions;
- $1,000 for exempt positions;
- $500 for non-exempt positions.
All amounts are subject to special withholding (approximately 42.15%).
How do I Refer a Candidate?
Obtain an Employee Referral Reward Form from the Human Resources office, or you may print the form from Getty GO. Complete all parts of the form. Submit this form along with the résumé or application of the person being referred to the Human Resources office. Human Resources will verify receipt of the referral by corresponding to you at the address you provided. This confirmation will be sent to you by memo or email.
The Employee Referral Reward Form must be completed and submitted at the time of the application. Referred applicants must apply for a specific position. If you are referring an applicant for multiple positions, an Employee Referral Reward Form must be completed and submitted for each.
You will not be eligible to receive a reward for referring anyone who has already applied for the same opportunity. Current employees, as well as employees who have worked at the Getty within the last six months, are not eligible to be referred under this program.
How Do I Collect My Referral Reward?
The hiring department will pay the appropriate reward if the person you referred is hired for the designated position and satisfactorily completes three months of continuous employment. You and the referred employee must be employed at the Getty at that time in order to collect this payment.
How Does Human Resources Identify A Position to Become Eligible for this Program?
Human Resources will indicate on the Job Posting Form that the position is eligible for the Employee Referral Reward Program. A position may be eligible for the Employee Referral Reward Program when it is first available or at a later date; however, once included; a position may not be withdrawn from the program
Other Questions?
Human Resources reserves the right to determine whether or not referred applicants are qualified for positions covered by the program. If a referred applicant is hired for a non-designated position, no reward will be paid. The Getty may modify or discontinue this program at any time. Should the program be discontinued, any in-process referrals that are subsequently hired will be included under the provisions of this program.
Should an applicant be referred to the same position by more than one referral source, the referral reward will be paid to the individual who made the referral at the earliest date.
