Getty Guide Bookmarks: Do They Really Work?

Over the past few years, many museums have launched multimedia projects using PDAs, kiosks, and Web sites that allow visitors to bookmark information for later use. Most such projects allow visitors to retrieve their bookmarks via e-mail or the Web. This report by Silvia Filipini-Fantoni, organized with the support of the Getty Museum and the Department of Digital Policy and Web Activity of the J. Paul Getty Trust, evaluates the effectiveness of such bookmarking projects.
